Hypernode is a Netherlands-based hosting provider, part of team.blue, that built its reputation on Magento hosting and has since broadened its platform to support Shopware, WooCommerce, Akeneo and Sylius.
The company was founded by Byte and has more than 25 years of hosting experience, over 5,000 customers and partnerships with more than 200 agencies across 35 countries.
The team of around 30 people releases new platform features on a weekly basis. What sets the company apart is that every server environment is preconfigured for the specific ecommerce application it runs, rather than offering a generic setup that shop owners need to optimise themselves.
How Does Hypernode Expands Ecommerce Hosting From Magento to Shopware?
Shopware on the Same Technology Stack as Magento

Shopware and Magento share the same foundational technology stack, including NGINX, PHP, MySQL and RabbitMQ. Both platforms face similar challenges around image handling, checkout performance and integration with external systems such as PIM tools and payment providers.
This overlap made it possible for Hypernode to extend its infrastructure to Shopware without building a separate platform. Both Shopware 5 and Shopware 6 are supported, and installation can be handled through a single pre-install command or manually via the control panel.
Setting up a Shopware environment requires a Falcon S plan or larger. Once the node is active, creating a Shopware-specific NGINX configuration takes one command. The platform handles the rest, from PHP version management to database configuration.
A Pilot With Shopware Specialist Kiener
The Shopware expansion began with a pilot project involving Kiener, a Dutch Shopware Solution Partner that works with clients such as Mollie, Dierapotheker and Interoffice. At that time, the Dutch hosting market for Shopware was still underdeveloped compared to Germany, where Shopware originated.
Kiener tested the platform and found the price-to-performance ratio compelling. Several of their Shopware stores now run on Hypernode, and the agency has recommended the platform to more of its clients.
An employee explains that the transition from Magento-only to multi-platform hosting was a deliberate step. “We saw Shopware gaining traction in the Netherlands and realised that agencies needed managed shopware hosting with the same depth of support they were used to from our Magento environment.
The technology overlap made it a natural fit, but we still invested in Shopware-specific optimisations and documentation to make the experience seamless.”
Autoscaling, Scheduling and the Insights Dashboard

The control panel allows shop owners to upgrade or downgrade their hosting plan instantly with a single click. The autoscaling feature monitors resource usage and upgrades the plan automatically when the server approaches its limits. After 24 hours, the node reverts to the original plan. Scaling can also be scheduled ahead of time, useful for planned promotions or seasonal campaigns.
Hypernode Insights is a monitoring dashboard that combines real-time server health data, performance metrics and historical trends into a single overview.
Instead of switching between separate tools for CPU load, response times and application behaviour, shop owners and developers see everything in one place. The goal is to move from reacting to performance issues to anticipating them before they affect customers.
Security from the Creators of MageReport
Every node on the platform is equipped with a Web Application Firewall, brute force protection and automated blocking of unwanted bots. Daily snapshots cover both database and files, and restoring a specific table or folder from a backup takes minimal effort.
The platform supports Object Storage for Shopware 6, allowing media files to be stored externally on S3-compatible buckets and served directly through an adjusted NGINX configuration.
Shops are monitored around the clock by both technicians and an auto-healing feature that detects and resolves common issues before they escalate. Support is available by phone, email and Slack, and 86 percent of customers rate the team as excellent.
Green Energy and a 14-day Trial without Commitment
All hosting runs on 100 percent green energy. The platform offers a 14-day free trial that expires automatically, with no payment details required upfront and no further obligations. Monthly cancellation is possible on all plans.
Customer Geert from agency Kiener shares his experience. “The Hypernode team responds quickly and provides optimisation tips alongside support. The platform is stable and we can handle many administrative tasks ourselves. Communications have been smooth from the start, and our questions are anticipated rather than just answered.”
